You know, I really love dishes. I love that Between Naps on the Porch, has this event, 'cause I would rather have a cute set of dishes than a diamond, or gold, or even a new car. They genuinely make me happy. I so look forward to Thursday (actually Wednesday afternoon).
In my ice bucket I placed a bottle of Biltmore Estate grape juice, I purchased when I took the tour in North Carolina in 1995. I could never bring myself to drink it. It's like having a little piece of Ashville in my pantry. That's silly isn't it!!! If anyone is around there, please visit Biltmore if you can! It is memorable!
My local thrift store had 50% off, so I got this ice bucket for $2.00. I don't even care that it has an initial on it. It has a liner you can take out...and it polished up beautifully.
I have several sets of white dishes, but because use them so much I have managed to break pieces and I don't have a service for 8 in any one pattern. When we unpacked this set, all the handles were broken off. I guess it's time for a complete set again, although I have been holding out hope that I would find matching cups at a thrift store. This set was made by Noritaki in the 80s.
The topiary is one of my favorite things to decorate with, they are so french. I think it goes with the roses. Here is a close up of my mix and match vintage silver.
Please stop by Susan's Blog and see all the other entries. Give yourself a couple of hours.
I hope you enjoyed this visit, I know I did.
Thanks for coming by,

Oh, I love your rose tablecloth and your real roses. My favorite flower. Your white dishes are just gorgeous and I love the ice bucket. It is such a treasure. So many uses for something like that and what a wonderful price. Thanks also for stopping by my TT and leaving such kind comments. You asked about the placemats. Yes, they came from the GW. One of them still had the original tag on it and it said Sferra - Made in Switzerland. I just love them. If you're looking for some fabulous placemats at an incredible price, check out Horchow online. I just got some from them at $10 for 4 that are stunning and just as pretty as these. Thanks again for stopping by. Hugs, Marty
I, too, love your rose tablecloth - so spring. That ice bucket is devine. Monograms are in, it doesn't even have to be your monogram... So pretty!
Me three! The rose tablecloth is my favorite part! :)

Your table cloth is very pretty. I think silver things with initials are THE BEST!!!! (better than plain ones) And topiaries -- I love them as well -- nothing better for a table!
I ADORE that tableclothe!
We started our silk flower designing business while doing tablescapes for the Knoxville Homes and Living magazine. We loved doing the tables! While we were doing the tables, we saw a need for silk centerpieces. We started sophiedahydesigns.com, and we are now also on ETSY.
Wonderful large print cloth, very striking and great second hand finds.
Enjoy,
Candy
Hello Liz, I have just been enjoying your blog, your tablescape posts and your garden are beautiful, your tablecloth is stunning and looks gorgeous with your white china and ice bucket, I really want to see Biltmore. I also wanted to say that your Sister in Laws cake stand is gorgeous, I hope her surgery went well and I wish her a very speedy recovery. I am off to add myself as a follower now and visit Geri's blog. happy Thursday, Kathy.
Very pretty. I love roses. I love new dishes too, however, if it came down to dishes or diamonds, I'd have to go with the diamonds.
Looks so pretty :)
Oooh, so pretty! And stylish and elegant as well. I've become recently taken with the tablescaping, so love this series on Thursdays.
